Je krijgt de unieke kans om het diverse machinepark van onze nutsvoorzieningen en waterzuiveringsinstallaties in kaart te brengen en te evalueren op basis van de meest recente eisen op het gebied van machineveiligheid. Dit betekent dat je hands-on ervaring zult opdoen met een breed scala aan complexe installaties, waaronder stoomketels, compressoren, koeltorens, pompen van verschillende afmetingen, nabezinkers, vijzels en centrifuges.

Tijdens deze stage duik je in de huidige status van de machines en beoordeel je of de bestaande veiligheidsmaatregelen voldoen aan de laatste technologische normen. Dit is niet alleen een kans om je analytische vaardigheden te benutten, maar ook om je creativiteit aan te spreken. Je hebt de vrijheid om verbeterpunten te identificeren en innovatieve oplossingen te bedenken die bijdragen aan een veiligere werkomgeving voor iedereen die met deze installaties werkt.

Jouw functie
Als stagiair maak je deel uit van een team dat zich toelegt op het leveren van essentiële diensten zoals stoom en koelwater, waardoor de hele site optimaal kan functioneren. Deze rol biedt je de mogelijkheid om je technische kennis in de praktijk toe te passen en je vaardigheden verder te ontwikkelen binnen een dynamische en innovatieve setting. Je zult niet alleen de kans krijgen om diepgaande kennis op te doen van verschillende machines en hun besturingssystemen, maar je leert ook hoe je deze complexe systemen effectief kunt bedienen en onderhouden. Bovendien krijg je de kans om je te verdiepen in de Europese en Belgische wetgeving omtrent machineveiligheid en om kennis te maken met de technologische ontwikkelingen, wat essentieel is voor elke ingenieur in dit vakgebied.

Stel je voor: een robot die automatisch een krom profiel aanlevert aan onze punt-richtmachine. Deze machine klemt het materiaal vast en met behulp van een laserscanner wordt het stuk gescand en worden belangrijke waarden bepaald, zoals rechtheid, torsie en vlakheid. Alle gegevens worden opgeslagen in een SQL-database, waarna de machine zelf de afwijkingen analyseert, de richtunit zijn klemmen en pushunit naar die zone verplaatst en het perfecte richtproces in gang zet. Nadat dit volledige proces is doorlopen, wordt het kaarsrechte profiel automatisch uit de punt-richtmachine gehaald door de robot. Dit resulteert in een razendsnel, geautomatiseerd proces dat handmatige interventie overbodig maakt!

In het academiejaar 2023-2024 heeft een andere masterstudent al een eerste stap gezet door de kromheid te bestuderen. Maar nu is het jouw kans om de volgende uitdaging aan te gaan: de torsie! Je versterkt het team van projectingenieurs die projecten beheren voor onze internationale klanten.
 Sommige documenten zijn terugkerend binnen de projecten, je zorgt ervoor dat deze gestandaardiseerd worden zodat die als handleiding kunnen dienen.
 Je beheert input in het ERP-systeem (opmaken van artikelteksten, aanmaken van artikelcodes, opvolgen van data in het systeem ifv levertermijn, …)

Position Purpose & Impact
The Maintenance and Reliability Planner will plan basic routine mechanical maintenance on our plant assets and equipment following established program guidelines. In this role, you will develop detailed job plans to improve the work force efficiency and quality by identifying the elements of an executable work package. You will provide general knowledge of consistent maintenance and reliability best practices in the completion of planning and prioritizing basic tasks and providing quality work that supports organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Research and compile information and feedback necessary to generate highly effective and detailed job plans.
• Initiate the procurement of materials, special tools and unique items required in the job plans using relevant maintenance programs and database tools.
• Prepare detailed job plans as required on general maintenance activities and schedule downtime and partner with more senior team members to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce lost production.
• Maintain custom databases to support specific work projects and processes.
• Plan the execution of basic repair procedures and tasks to ensure compliance with the fundamental plant maintenance procedures and practices.

Where will it take you? System Engineer, Market Engineer and Close-To-Realtime Engineer As Close-to-real-time engineer in the National Control Centre (NCC), you ensure safety on the grid. You do this
in cooperation with the Power System Engineers and the Market System Engineers. You will perform calculations and prepare forecasts for System Engineers so that the supply-demand balance of the power grid remains stable and determine
the daily capacities of the grid. You will take preventive measures for energy supply in Belgium and communicate with your colleagues, suppliers and the other neighbouring countries (TSOs). Together with your colleagues, you are the
grid operator and avoid blackouts at all times. As System Engineer in the National Control Centre (NCC), you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and adjustment of the Belgian high-voltage grid. You will
perform real-time safety analyses, coordinate grid elements for maintenance projects, and help balance electricity supply and demand. You will anticipate overloads and seek solutions together with colleagues and international partners.

from market players and international intraday and balancing markets. You will manage short-term exchange capacities at borders, monitor market coupling and the production plan, and activate strategic reserve if necessary. You will
cooperate with real-time engineers and monitor voltage regulation. You will be involved in emergency situations in which the grid is under pressure.

Functieomschrijving Als projectingenieur elektromechanica werk je aan maatschappelijk relevante, uitdagende en multidisciplinaire projecten. Samen met het team – dat bestaat uit ingenieurs burgerlijke bouwkunde
