Dear students,

We are honoured to invite you to the research day of the Department of Electrical Energy, Metals, Mechanical Constructions & Systems on November 20. During the course of this morning, you will be given the opportunity to familiarise yourselves with state-of-the-art research projects, past accomplishments and future research directions, as well as ideas for master or PhD theses.

Please register for the event so the organising committee can supply enough coffee and lunch for all participants. It is also allowed to join later or depart early if this is more convenient.

Morning session (08:30 – 13:00)

  • 09:20 – 10:20: Oral presentations

    • 10:00 – 10:10: ‘Research in the MST group: the tetrahedral relation between Properties, Structure, Process and Theory’ (Leo Kestens)

  • 10:20 – 10:30: Coffee break
  • 10:30 – 11:30: 3-minute pitches
  • 11:30 – 13:00: Poster session + lunch
